We made it safely late yesterday afternoon with minimal delays. It's always nice to have a trip like that! Probably a half an hour after we arrived, Ben was put to work helping my stepdad cut down an old pine tree. It must've been good manly work because B said over and over that it was fun.
Not my idea of fun but nobody asked!
Then we had a little birthday party for my sister with pizza, ice cream and homemade fudge, an informal t-ball turned baseball game and a fun card game that lasted until the last late hours of the night.
It was a great way to start off our vacation! And now I'm off to beautify myself while our sweet overtired baby is sleeping. I have to take advantage of these quiet moments....
